Local Governing Body
The Local Governing Body (LGB) meets each half term to review school business and monitor progress against improvement priorities.
LGB Responsibilities
The Chair maintains regular contact with the Headteacher, while governors are actively involved in school life, attending events such as fundraisers, wellbeing days and parents’ evenings.
Governors engage with pupils through School Parliament meetings, oversee safeguarding, and monitor the School Development Plan, budget and resources.
Subject leaders attend meetings to share updates on strengths and areas for development. Governors are also encouraged to undertake training, particularly in support of school improvement.
