British Values
At Grange Academy we value the diversity and backgrounds of all pupils, families and the wider school community. We promote and embed our own Grange Values and Unicef Rights Respecting charters to reinforce British Values.
At Grange Academy, we actively promote British Values in the following ways:
Democracy
Pupils have a strong voice in school through our Pupil Parliament, surveys and Rights Respecting Charters. They take part in decision-making, elections and discussions, helping to shape school life. Pupils also share their views in EHCP reviews.
Rule of Law
We promote respect, responsibility and understanding of rules through everyday school life, assemblies and the curriculum. Clear policies help ensure a safe and positive environment for all.
Individual Liberty
We promote a safe, supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to make informed choices and develop independence.
Mutual Respect
Respect is at the heart of our school community. We encourage kindness, understanding and appreciation of different views, backgrounds and lifestyles.
Tolerance of Different Faiths and Beliefs
We celebrate diversity and help pupils develop an understanding of different cultures, religions and beliefs, preparing them to be respectful members of in the community.
